The Cat Ferry

The CAT ferry is back in operation again after being away for several years. When in-season, it makes the trip between Bar Harbor and Yarmouth, Nova Scotia in just three and a half hours. This is a nice time saver when compared to actually driving which would take over seven hours. And what is great about it is that you get to relax the whole time while getting to see spectacular views of the Maine coast. And since it is a full-sized ferry, it can carry most anything from your bicycles or motorcycles all the way up to SUVs and RVs.

There is a gift shop, a movie theater, a cafe and the Scotia Market Cafeteria. Regional talent provides live music for your enjoyment. There is also a small business center with three computers.
