Linda's Seaside Cottage
You are going to be thrilled with this unique and beautiful private waterfront location overlooking the ocean and the mountains of Acadia National Park on Mount Desert Island. Situated on the shoreline of Trenton, Maine, just before crossing over to the main island, we are ideally located to enjoy your Maine vacation from Bar Harbor to the Schoodic Peninsula - from Cadillac Mountain to Blue Hill.
Our shoreside cottage has two bedrooms but can sleep six. The first floor bedroom has a king bed. The second floor bedroom has a king and two twins. Because of the steep stairs to access, caution is recommended for the elderly or small children.
On the Waterfront
The cottage has several windows which, when open, often allow for a nice breeze off the ocean. You will appreciate the second floor air-conditioning on those hot summer days. Most of all, you will appreciate our gravel beach where you can explore the many things at your leisure or just sit and relax as you hear the waves against the rocks and the seagulls overhead and in the distance. This will be your own private paradise as you enjoy your long deserved vacation with friends and family on the coast of Maine next to Acadia National Park.
Prepare your food in the fully equipped kitchen or have a barbecue on the large open deck overlooking the beautiful panoramic seascape. Drive a short distance to purchase live or cooked Maine Lobster. There are many towns and villages within an easy driving distance with a variety of restaurants to choose from - over a hundred in all if you choose to eat elsewhere. There are also innumerable specialty shops where you are sure to find that special souvenir or gift for a friend or loved one.
The living room has two sofas, a coffee table, television, several lights, and area rugs. We also have free local telephone service. This is a good area for private walks along the shoreline. There is a local food market about 3 miles away. The largest nearby commercial center is Ellsworth - often referred to as the gateway city to Down East Maine. There you will find many large and small businesses as well as a U.S. Post Office, Banks, and a hospital. Mount Desert Island is about 2 miles away where the majority of Acadia National Park lies including the Visitor Center in Hulls Cove, just off Route 3 in Bar Harbor.
