Located just 4 miles south of downtown Bar Harbor, Red’s Garden is a short drive to local amenities, yet distant enough to feel away from it all. Surrounded by Acadia National Park, and a short drive to the Park Loop Road and many trails, our location is ideal for a leisurely scenic drive, a quick adventure or big hike in the Park and beyond.

Description

Red’s Garden is a lovely 26 foot by 28 foot single story cottage style home with an 8 x 20 foot open porch surrounded by plants. The floor plan includes:

  • A queen sized bedroom that accommodates 2 people
  • A full bath with tub/shower and washer/dryer
  • An open style kitchen/dining space with vaulted ceilings
  • Full kitchen with dishwasher, microwave, coffee maker, lobster pot and cookware
  • Living room with French doors leading to a big back porch with dining space and gas grill, gardens to enjoy and usually a lovely afternoon sea breeze.
  • Roku TV and wifi
  • Most dogs welcome, chat with owner

RENTAL RATES

Weekly Saturday - Saturday
June - October: $1,500 per week
PLUS tax and security deposit
Longer-term stays available in edge and off-season.
Winter rentals mid-October - Junish.

DOG POLICY

Please plan on having your dog accompany you on your outings. Some dogs are quite at ease being left behind in unfamiliar surroundings, but many are not.

Please understand that, in order to keep Red's Garden dog-friendly and pleasing to all, the cottage must be tidied up accordingly.

We all love our dogs and have become accustomed to hair and all, but not all guests have that same appreciation for our furry pals.

Just as in the Park, we ask that you leave no trace.

Whether you are traveling with a shedding or non-shedding breed, please plan on spending the time necessary to attend to fur, shaked-off mud and tracked-in dirt prior to your departure.

Dog sheets are provided in front closet to protect linens and upholstery. Sticky roller and vacuum are in front closet, as well.

*** If your dog is accustomed to sleeping on your bed, please bring your own linens. There is limited time between guests, and multiple washings are not possible within that time-frame.

Please vacuum floors, launder any linens that have been frequented by your canine friend and take care of nose and paw prints.

***Dog poo: please remove from property daily, do not put in household trash receptacles.

More Information

Please contact us well in advance if you need an earlier check-in or later departure time and we will do our best to accommodate your needs. Late departures without due notice will impact security refund.

Cancellation Policy:

There is a $250 per week cancellation fee. If you must cancel, we will do our best to re-book your week. If I am able to do so, the remainder of your deposit will be refunded. The more notice I have, the better the chances your space can be filled.
