Eagle Watch: Located on a bluff overlooking spectacular Southwest Harbor, Maine, this cozy secluded waterfront cottage has a special New England charm. You will especially appreciate the views of the mountains, the working harbor, and marina. This is the best view of Mount Desert Island from the Island itself and is conveniently located on the south side of the harbor with many restaurants and shops near by. Southwest Harbor is surrounded by Acadia National Park land on the southwestern side of Mount Desert Island, often referred to as the Quiet Side of the island. Eagle Watch cottage got its name from the American Bald Eagles that frequently land in the trees near the cottage.

The photo to the right shows the striking view from the living room in Eagle Watch. From here, or from the outside deck shown in the photo above, you can watch the many yachts, lobster boats, and other seaworthy vessels come and go throughout the day and evening. This is a very comfortable space and you will almost not want to leave it but there is also so much to see on Mount Desert Island and this is a perfect quiet home base to return to.

Eagle Watch will accommodate a maximum of 4 people. It has 2 bedrooms (each with one double bed), a fully furnished kitchen, and a bathroom with a tub/shower combination. There is a Gas outdoor grill. WiFi • Sorry, no pets.

King's Mark: The photo to the left shows the dining area and part of the fully equiped kitchen in the King's Mark Vacation Rental in Southwest Harbor, Maine. This is another gorgeous and unmatched setting where you will create lasting memories of your Maine and Acadia vacation. This cozy garden apartment overlooks Southwest Harbor as seem from the southwestern side of the inlet. Mountains, yachts, lobster boats, and plenty of seagulls are all around. As with Eagle Watch, this area is surrounded by Acadia National Park land so there will be much to do. There are also many restaurants, shops, and other places to visit close by. Southwest Harbor center is just to the north. Manset, a world renown boat building community, and also part of Southwest Harbor, is right next to the cottage on the east side.

The photo to the right shows the living room and fireplace in King's Mark. You will also note many nautical themed items. This has been a seafaring community for over 150 years and much of that character can be seen and felt everywhere. Out of view to the right is another large picture window overlooking Southwest Harbor. This large window is one of two, the other being the one shown above in the dining area. Between the two large windows is a door that opens to the lush green lawn (seasonal) and clear harbor view.

King's Mark accommodates a maximum of 3 people. It has 2 bedrooms - one with a double bed, the other with a twin. The one bathroom includes a shower. King's Mark is not recommended for families with small children because of the property's close proximity to a steep ocean side ledge. Sorry, no pets.
