Fieldside Suites

Welcome to Fieldside Suites! Originally owned by my grandfather, we are the third generation owners of this unique property of twenty acres situated on the edge of a large field for walking and enjoying views of Cadillac and other neighboring mountains. Before your day begins, relax in your wicker chair just outside your door.

Our four 305 square foot suites were remodeled two years ago to include wood floors and compact kitchens. Tastefully decorated with a coastal cottage in mind, each room has hand chosen antiques to create a comfortable stay. We provide all the amenities two people could want for an affordable visit to Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park. Each room offers a king bed, full bath, a color flat screen television and an equipped kitchen with a small dinning space. You can sit in a wicker chair on the front deck and enjoy the view. If you don't find something you need, just ask! We also have a 20x40 foot heated pool. We provide free WIFI service.

Fieldside Suites is four miles from Bar Harbor and only one mile from Acadia National Park. You can drive or catch the Island Explorer public bus just steps from your door. A quiet rocky beach is only a five minute walk away. Our convenient distance to shops, restaurants, and Acadia makes us the perfect place to stay.
 

Acadia offers over 120 miles of hiking trails and 55 miles of carriage roads to run, walk, and bike along. We welcome well behaved dogs (see extras below). Dogs may NOT be left in the room alone.

The above photo shows the heated swimming pool with a view of Cadillac Mountain in the distance. At certain times of year, Cadillac Mountain is the first place in the United States to catch the sunrise. You will want to visit the summit at least once during your visit to the area.

The photo to the left shows the kitchenette with the dining section table with seating for two. The window has a nice view of the field and opens to feel the nice breeze that often blows across the field from the ocean.

To the right is the comfortable king sized bed found in our suite. At the foot of the bed is an antique blanket chest. This suite is a nice and quiet location to use as your place to relax, recharge, and freshen-up before exploring Bar Harbor and the rest of the island again in the evening or the next day.
