Deluxe Oceanfront Cottage in Trenton, MaineOur super deluxe 3 bedroom and 2 bath oceanfront cottage, located on the shores of Trenton, Maine near Acadia National Park, offers divided living if desired. Doors between sections can be opened or closed. One suite at one side has one bedroom with a queen sized bed, one bathroom with a stall shower, and a living room. The other section has two bedrooms, one full bathroom, a fully equipped kitchen, dining room, and a living room. One bedroom has a king sized bed and the other has a full. This is a perfect arrangement for the in-laws, children, or friends. Grandparents love the idea of having a suite for themselves when they need a little rest from the action.

Each unit has atrium doors and provides panoramic views of Western Bay and the mountains of Acadia National Park on Mount Desert Island. We have a terrific private gravel walking beach for your enjoyment. This is a very special location that you and your family will talk about and remember for many years to come.

oceanfront cottage interior The 1,400 sq. ft. waterfront home has good sized living spaces with comfortable furniture and seating for eight people in a relaxed setting. Each section has a television with cable reception and there is wireless broadband Internet access. There is a variety of books to read or you may just want to relax with the atrium doors open and feel the breeze off the ocean. Hearing the waves gently wash against the shore is a real nice touch. The home has a central heating system as well as air conditioning. There is a telephone for free local service.

Furnished cottage kitchenPrepare your food in the fully equipped kitchen. It has the expected amenities such as refrigerator, cooking stove, microwave, dish washer, coffee maker, toaster, as well as spices, paper-towels, and the important Lobster-Pot if you would like to purchase fresh Maine Lobster from the nearby lobster pounds and prepare them yourself. There are many towns and villages within an easy driving distance with a variety of restaurants to choose from - over a hundred in all if you choose to eat elsewhere. There are also innumerable specialty shops where you are sure to find that special souvenir or gift for a friend or loved one.

Ocean view from deckWe have a very large wood deck on the ocean side of the cottage that provides a spectacular view of Western Bay and Mount Desert Island. There is an outdoor gas grill, six garden chairs, and two beach chairs. This will be your special part of paradise during your vacation stay.

The largest nearby commercial center is Ellsworth - often referred to as the gateway city to Down East Maine. There you will find many large and small businesses as well as a U.S. Post Office, Banks, and a hospital. Mount Desert Island is about 2 miles away where the majority of Acadia National Park lies including the Visitor Center in Hulls Cove, just off Route 3 in Bar Harbor.

The ISLAND EXPLORER is a free shuttle bus that takes people wherever they want to go. Additionally they have designated stops and schedules that allow people to leave their cars at any of the terminals and travel freely. The bus also has capacity to carry bikes. LL Bean is the major sponsor of this free shuttle. There is a scheduled stop just 5 minutes from the house at Trenton Marketplace on Rt. 3.
