Branch Lake Cottage Rental

When you visit Acadia National Park on Mount Desert Island, Maine, you can get away from the crowds and still have your own private cottage, just 30 minutes away from the Park, on a beautiful clean lake close enough to all of the sites in the area. Our newly constructed cottage rental, nestled on a quiet cove on Branch Lake in Ellsworth, is the ideal getaway for your entire family. You will love the setting, with a good sized lawn and a good sized dock with benches where you can sit and enjoy your view of the lake and its wildlife like ducks and loons.

We have a small boat launch area but the boat must be inspected for invasive plants before you do so. This can be done by the neighbor just to the north of the cottage. We have a paddle boat, canoe and 2 kayaks for use.

The cottage will sleep six people (one bunk bed), has carpeting throughout, and has one full bath. There is a queen size bed in the main bedroom and a king size pillow top in the loft bedroom. We recently added a sliding door to open the living room area up more for your enjoyment. The dining and living room areas enjoy spectacular views of Branch Lake. A large screened-in porch has a table for that open-air dining appeal.

Ellsworth, at only 15 minutes away, is the gateway to Acadia National Park and home to the largest super Walmart on the East Coast. The town has a well stocked library, L.L.Bean outlet, the Grasshopper Shop and the Maine based Reny's and the famous Marden's. Ellsworth has a YMCA for member's use.

There are plenty of restaurants and other dining establishments in Ellsworth and the surrounding areas. Trenton also has three lobster pounds that provide fresh clams, lobster and seafood. Also located in Trenton is the Bar Harbor golf course and in Bar Harbor is the Kebo golf course. There are miniature golf courses in both towns.

Branch Lake Cottage is just 20 minutes from the Bar Harbor Airport where US Air Express flies daily to Boston, Massachusetts. Bar Harbor and Ellsworth have rental businesses for bikes and kayaks.
