Oceanside Vacation
Rental near Bar Harbor & Acadia National Park |

Built in 2001, the house has a beautiful knotty pine interior with lots of windows, creating a light, airy feeling. Cozy furnishings with modest mix of antiques are throughout with a large collection of books for readers to enjoy. The second-story library is a cozy spot for quiet time with two writing desks and plenty of light from the clearstory windows. There is also a well stocked video and CD library and a wide variety of games.
A large deck on the ground level and a balcony off the second-story
bedroom offer places to sit and enjoy the wildlife - songbirds, ducks,
loons, gulls, eagles, on occasion some wild turkeys, squirrels, seals,
and osprey. The beach in front of the house has pebbles on one portion
and rocks on the rest with lots of chances for beach combing and exploring. (See photo of water view.) |

You will appreciate having the two bathrooms and it will be helpful with larger groups. Each has it's own hot water supply and the larger bathroom has a jacuzzi. There is a washer and dryer in the laundry area. The furnace will take the chill off morning or evening if necessary. |

Acadia National Park has many sights you will want to see including Sand Beach, Thunder Hole, Otter Cliff, Jordan Pond, Cadillac Mountain, etc. It has great hiking trails and the famous carriage roads throughout the park. Schoodic Peninsula, about 45 minutes away, is another special area you may want to visit and is the only portion of Acadia National Park located on the mainland. It is less developed with a real Downeastern feel. Many people love it for this reason. |
